奈米科技的定義與領域
 
奈米科技(Nanotechnology)的定義尚無定論,一般來說,奈米科技中的奈米(nanometer)是指10-9公尺,一個奈米的長度大約是十個氫原子排在一起的長度。奈米科技是指在奈米尺度(1 nm~ 100 nm)上研究物質(包括原子、分子的操縱)的特性和相互作用,以及利用這些特性的多學科交叉性的科學和技術。
 
奈米科技發展的歷程
 
近代奈米技術的開展,始於1959年美國物理學家費因曼提出劃時代的概念:無疑地,當我們能夠對細微尺度的事物加以操控的話,將會大大的增加我們可能獲得物性的範圍60年代,日本物理學家久保良武發現金屬超微粒具有量子力學上的特性;之後,70年代至80年代,科學家開始對奈米粒子的結構與性質作較有系統的研究。
